Sugared Bacon

Linger over breakfast and enjoy this lavish twist on down-home Southern ham recipes.

1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons hickory smoked Worcestshire sauce
2 tablespoons spicy honey mustard
1 large egg, beaten
12 slices bacon
1 ½ cups fine dry breadcrumbs

Combine first 4 ingredients in a shallow bowl, stirring well. Dip each slice of bacon into sugar mixture; coat with breadcrumbs. Arrange bacon slices on a rack in a large broiler pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Drain well on paper towels. Yield: 12 slices.
