Arrive at The Lafayette and enjoy an in room check-in. We will have your gas fireplace blazing and lights set romantically. After you are settled, come down to the Tavern and enjoy one of our specially selected wine flights and Chef prepared appetizers. Watch the sun set over the mountains from the second story covered porch and then return to the dining room for an elegant dinner. Tempt yourself with our dessert sampler at the end! Then return to your romantic suite for the evening.

In the morning, visit the Tavern and find it has been transformed to become the local Coffee (and tea) house. As our guest, enjoy a country style breakfast as part of your stay. The Lafayette is designed in Federalist style with three levels and sweeping colonnaded porches. The frame is of hand-hewn mortise and tenon beams with fifteen-inch-thick walls of local red brick. Large windows look out to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Piedmont countryside. The Lafayette is also a great event location with two private meeting/dining rooms available, plus we offer full service catering. The Lafayette's great staff also offers full concierge services; ordering flowers for you, a massage, reservations, trip planning and more.

Full refund with 7 days notice. For cancellations with less than 7 days notice, one nights stay (weekend rate) will be charged. No charge will be occurred if the accommodations can be rebooked.
