Welcome to Cable Nature Lodge — a unique bed and breakfast country inn and retreat center featuring rustic elegance and peaceful seclusion in northwest Wisconsin. The lodge is perched on a spruce covered hill overlooking forest and wetlands teaming with birds and other wildlife. The premier location on 22 acres within the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest offers easy access to the many outdoor recreational opportunities available to you in this beautiful corner of Wisconsin. At the same time terrific dining, shops, art galleries, and other civilized pleasures are located just minutes away.

Each of the distinctive guest rooms at Cable Nature Lodge is designed to evoke the spirit of northwest Wisconsin's history and natural heritage. Whether you rise early or elect to sleep in, breakfast is always available at your convenience. Begin your day of adventures with our complimentary in-room buffet featuring homemade muffins or scones, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, and other delectable goodies to suit your individual taste.

Dedicated to the principles of cultural heritage and ecological tourism, Cable Nature Lodge combines a beautiful blend of rustic elegance with modern amenities. Rough sawn cedar and knotty pine paneling distinguish the beautifully appointed guest rooms and common areas, along with vaulted ceilings, decorative tile and wood floors, and field stone fireplaces.

From the lodge a short stroll will bring you to the peaceful shores of North Twin Lake, a natural lake surrounded largely by national forest land and untouched by jet skis and high power motor boats. Just a mile down the road you’ll find the Rock Lake ski and hiking trail, along with the hub of the Midwest’s renowned CAMBA off-road bike trail system. Less than two miles in the other direction lies a lovely little park at the headwaters of the Namakagon River, one of the first federally designated Wild and Scenic Rivers in the country, and well known for great fishing and canoeing.

Each of our distinctive guest rooms is designed to evoke the spirit of northwest Wisconsin's history and natural heritage. All feature private baths with shower and a beautiful king or queen bed with premium Serta mattress topped by a cozy down alternative comforter.
