A 1791 stone farmhouse once a part of the Underground Railroad and site of a Civil War battle located just minutes from Historic Jonesborough. Come and enjoy the rustic elegance and serenity of the Embree House situated in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Roam our twenty two acres of land while enjoying the sights and sounds of majestic mountain vistas. Gaze up at a dark summer night sky illuminated with millions of stars. Listen to the relaxing sounds of a rippling stream and the train whistle on a cold winter night.

Take a step back in time as you immerse yourself in the history of our completely renovated 1791 stone farmhouse. Enjoy a hearty, home-cooked breakfast served in the keeping room next to a warm fire or in the windowed breakfast nook watching our many species of wild birds flutter about the trees outside. Sip a glass of refreshing lemonade on the porch on a lazy afternoon or spend the day white water rafting, hiking or taking a carriage ride and shopping nearby. Whatever your preference, come and experience the gracious hospitality of the Embree House. The Embree House is also available for Weddings, Private Parties and Special Occasion Dinners.

Enjoy the sitting room with its inviting fireplace. The suite has a private bath with shower. Our spacious first floor suite offers a beautiful view of the countryside from its many windows and is made cozy with rich wood floors, beamed wood ceiling and stone fireplace. The suite is furnished with a king size bed adjoined by a private bath with a whirlpool tub and shower.
