Each guestroom offers a fresh sunny interior, a charming mix of antiques and flea market finds, a great bed, many books, and a view over water of the rising or setting sun. "English cottage", mused one guest. All rooms come with gourmet breakfast. Perhaps you would enjoy puffed German apple pancakes on the screened porch, the water sparkling twenty feet away. The only licensed restaurant on Tylerton, the inn also offers a well-received local seafood dinner for $20/person.

But you might be distracted from your rockfish baked in a tarragon and fennel crust and famous Smith Island eight-layer cake by the sun sinking gloriously into the bay before you. The Drum Point Market, the local hangout, offers lunch featuring their acclaimed crab cakes.

Each of the three very different rooms comes with AC, refrigerator, and gourmet breakfast.

Sassafras Hammock - Located on the first floor with windows on three sides (including both water and garden views), this bright and cheerful room has a queen bed and a private bathroom (tub/shower).

Drum Point - On the second floor, both this sun-lit room and its large private bathroom (shower) have the best water views of the house! There is a pleasant sitting area and a queen bed.

Black Walnut Point - Our most spacious, illuminated (6 windows) and isolated, this room is often favored by those coming on special occasions. The private bathroom (shower) has a garden view. Queen and twin beds allow for triple occupancy.
