Situated down a half mile quiet farm road, Butterfly Fields offers the discriminating adult guest the opportunity to enjoy a secluded country lifestyle just minutes away from Washington, D.C., Annapolis, and Baltimore, Maryland. Our quick access to the Chesapeake Bay Area is wonderful; there are many recreational and cultural offerings. The bed and breakfast offers peace and quiet to the person looking to “get away from it all,” yet is not far from bustling city life.

Relaxing on any one of the many outside decks of the main house provides guests with the chance to savor the surrounding pastoral farm lands and woods that completely surround Butterfly Fields farm. Walking along the garden paths gives our guest a chance to experience the varied fragrances of flowers, fruit trees, grape arbors, planting beds, and trellises, all part of the extensive gardens that encircle our home.

While out walking the grounds, the guest will find their way to Goose at the Door Pottery, adjacent to our horse barn. Here guests can browse Lynda's artistic creations, many of which are available for purchase. In addition to being a potter, Lynda is also a certified massage therapist. Pre-arranged appointments are preferred, but short notice requests are welcomed and every attempt will be made to honor them.

Guests may enjoy the use of the large dining room, living room, extensive outdoor decks, and gardens. All rooms are equipped with the standard amenities such as an alarm clock, flashlight, hair dryer, telephone, etc.

In addition to all the basic amenities provided for your comfort we also provide a working business office complete with fax machine, copier, computer with internet access, and printer. Wireless internet access is available for guests traveling with their laptop, and a tourist center provides guests with information on our area attractions and restaurants.
