Manchester Inn Bed and Breakfast has been voted as one of the best B&Bs/Country Inns for “Best on the Waterfront” by inngoers, hereby making it one of the top 3 percent of bed and breakfasts and country inns throughout the United States and Canada. On December 21, 2004 the Manchester Inn B&B of Ocean Grove, NJ received approval from the Historical Preservation Commission to install the first Alternative energy source in Neptune Township. The Inn is to install 60 solar panels to help with the overall electric usage at the Inn. Installation is to begin in early spring 2005.

This will be the first commercial installation of solar energy in Monmouth county, installed by Ecological Systems of Neptune, NJ. ES has completed 100's of projects in New Jersey and believes that Neptune and Ocean Grove will be the next growth area on installations. The Manchester Inn, Ocean Grove New Jersey bed and breakfast and Secret Garden Restaurant are steps from the white sandy beach and the gentle surf of the Atlantic Ocean. Just one block from the ocean and ½ block from the Great Auditorium, the Bed and Breakfast Inn is approximately one hour from New York City and Philadelphia, but a world away.
