Our home and our B & B were constructed together in the year 2003. This might be the only commonality between the two. Our B & B could be called an annex or wing of our residence as the entries and exits are not common at all. The B & B consists of a single floor with access to the outside at two different locations. These outer doors are keyed entirely different from the individual Guest Rooms, with each guest also receiving a key.

With our Guests privacy in mind, all rooms have a private bath as well as a small set of table and chairs. Privacy curtains offer both privacy as well as light filtering if day naps are in your agenda. Each Guest will have the opportunity to establish when “breakfast is served” either in their own Guest Room or the Gathering Room. The time for receiving breakfast can be conveyed the night before. The Relaxation Hosts, Barbara & Raymond will see to your needs, and are only as far away as a phone call. This phone line being separate from their residence is used if their presence is called for even though they are no more than 100 feet away.

This type of Bed & Breakfast is somewhat unique as the Guests are residing under the same roof, but are completely separate in their comings and goings, meals, and relaxation and privacy. And since you will be sharing with other Guests, we ARE smoke and alcohol free. We hope to see you soon so that we can live up to our Title, Relaxation Hosts. Restful Paws was started from a concept that everyone should be able to take time off. This means that if an entire family wanted to take a vacation, then the entire family should. Of course this meant all pets that were able could also go. Just where can families go with their pets? Not too many places. The lodgings are far and in-between that allows pets. Of the some that do, these families were allotted rooms next to the hired help and were furnished with scratched, broken and repaired hand me down furniture. Some vacation! Top prices, no quality!

We seriously started thinking about opening a pet friendly B&B after we were told that our pet would not be allowed on the beach because of the nesting sea birds. This was after reserving rooms at this pet friendly lodging for over seven years. Now we had to pack up and find an area that would allow our family to be together even though we were registered at a pet friendly establishment. We were using the beach illegally at 4:00 AM and also after the sun went down and the Rangers went home. All we wanted to do was walk the beach as a family. We were not alone! These times on the beach were crowded with other pets with their families in tow, just having a good time. Only with common sense involved, leashes were being widely used and there were no problems.
