Anderson’s oldest historic home was built in 1834 by the Ackers- Broyle families. The Inn was their home “in Town” and another 20 miles towards lake Hartwell was their “country home." Located higher than the surrounding properties, the family brought the dirt in from the Savannah River. Magnificent, huge oak and unusual pines along with one of the largest crepe myrtle trees in the South, surround the Inn and Restaurant. The Spa and restaurant located next to the Inn was built in 1906, as a wedding gift to their granddaughter.
1986, The Inn opened and then was converted to a Spa in 1999. In 2003 the Spa moved into the Restaurant building and the Inn recreated. Aiming for a “destination” stop for dining, relaxing and rejuvenation. National award winning Restaurant with Swiss chef, Peter Ryter. Elegant Day Spa and Hair Salon beside Restaurant with an enclosed garden setting. A rare find you cannot miss! Our beautiful Inn is in the oldest home of Anderson (built in 1834), located beside the Spa. See the largest Crepe Myrtle Tree found in South Carolina, and the enormous, unusual Evergreen and Holly trees planted in the 1800’s on the grounds of our Spa. Halfway between Atlanta, Ga. and Charlotte, N.C.
