Discover a peaceful retreat, steeped in the spirit of the North Carolina Mountains. The historic Inn was built approximately 170 years ago (by slaves) as a stage coach stop, later it operated as a sanitorium, an artists retreat and since 1989 as The Black Mountain Inn. Seven Guest rooms are artfully decorated with antiques. All rooms have private baths featuring full or oversized bathtubs with showers.
More than 5,000 square feet of interior space and 3 landscaped gardens and wooded acres offer our guests room to discover the antiquity and feeling of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Bring your pets if they are obedient, bring your children if they are well behaved or come alone, either way you will love it here.
