Located one block from the Pamlico River and steeped in family history, this beautiful 1902 Victorian home provides gracious accommodations in the heart of historic downtown Washington. A short walk leads to a sailboat marina, specialty shops and galleries, a variety of restaurants, and a wonderful café for coffee and dessert. The Moss House is also at the beginning of the city's self-guided historic walking tour. The Moss House features a full breakfast highlighted by Southern favorites with a gourmet touch. These entrées, accented by freshly ground coffee, seasonal fruit, and homemade baked goods, will prepare you for a full day, whether your agenda calls for business or leisure pursuits.

Give us a heads-up and we'll pack you an excellent breakfast "to go." The Moss House Bed and Breakfast features four comfortable guest rooms with private baths, as well as a comfortable living room, and an elegant dining room. You will find custom soaps, extra pillows, fresh allergen free sheets, and ample lighting in each room. Guests wishing to take in some fresh air will find that the veranda and adjacent garden afford a relaxing retreat, as does the back porch furnished with white wicker seating.
We also provide DirecTV service, Wireless Internet access, and a telephone in the hall, available for local calls and copy and fax available. Computer and Net access for guests traveling without their own laptops. Enjoy The Moss House. Unwind with other guests in the calm of the living room and dining rooms.
