Surrounded by mature trees and other period homes, this gracious Colonial Revival home is on the National Register of Historic Places. Centrally located in Asheville's prestigious Montford Historic District about one-half mile from Downtown Asheville. Across town from Biltmore Estate, minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Designed by Biltmore Estate's Supervising Architect in 1908 for a prominent Asheville businessman. Winner of Preservation Society's prestigious Griffin Award. Our English style gardens have won "Best in the County" award.
The Inn has a English theme and is filled with fireplaces, antique furnishings, and fine rugs. Each luxurious guest suite and guest room has the high style and sophistication that characterized the best of Britain for centuries. Start each morning with a splendid homemade, full breakfast served by candlelight on crystal and china. Hot breads, fruit and specialty entrees such as cheese-filled crepes with kiwi-lemon sauce, Eggs Benedict or the traditional English breakfast are typical fare. Each suite in our Carriage House and each guest room in our Main House is furnished with comfortable seating; either wing chairs, club chairs or loveseat. Each room also has a writing table or desk. Six rooms and suites have king size beds. Each suite and king size room also has a working fireplace: three of those are original mantels with quarter-sawn oak fire surrounds decorated with original tiles. Two guest rooms have queen size four-poster beds. All guest rooms have private baths. The three suites have luxurious baths that include whirlpool tub and shower combination. All rooms have seasonal air conditioning or central air conditioning. Suites have refrigerator or full kitchen.
