Lisa and Mike purchased Weathertop in October 2003. We are long-term property owners in the Mad River Valley, and finally decided to call it our home. Our love for The Valley started with downhill skiing, and quickly progressed to include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, kayaking, etc., etc., etc....The spectrum of recreational activities here is incredible! The Valley also has much more to offer than postcard scenery and tranquil surroundings - it has a wonderful sense of community.

Our other passions are world travel, scuba diving, and cooking (OK, eating too...), as often as possible and as much as we can afford! We also love to hear travel tales from our guests, as this is an excellent way to begin planning future trips. Our love of world travel is reflected in the many collectible items displayed throughout the inn, and it is also apparent in our cooking...During our last assignments in Corporate America, we worked and lived as expatriates for several years in Singapore. This gave us a tremendous opportunity to experience Asia firsthand. We will always have some Southeast Asian dishes on our restaurant menu, if just to recall fond memories of those days. Don't worry though - we won't use spicy chilies or savory curries on your morning pancakes!

Inn Amenities and Features

Other Amenities ...

Our contemporary post & beam is set well off the road and is nestled among a forested hillside, manicured lawns, and lush perennial gardens - perfect for viewing the resident birds and wildlife. Guests can expect thoughtful amenities and warm, attentive service from the resident innkeepers. Eight individually decorated guest rooms feature private baths, all of the comforts of home & more. Relax in our Great Room, enjoy the Hot Tub & Sauna, or venture to the Game Room for a bit more excitement. Join us in our bright & airy Dining Room for hearty breakfasts and eclectic evening fare.

In the Great Room, the Loft comes complete with comfortable seating, ceiling fans, and a TV/DVD/VCR/surround sound system with digital cable. Also for our "40-something" guests, we have a turntable to spin our collection of classic albums and 45s - those licorice pizzas popular before the advent of tapes, CDs, and MP3s...
