We are a property unique to Kennebunkport. Operating in a neighborhood of grand and stately summer mansions on the “gold coast” of Kennebunkport and sitting high on a knoll, we are afforded breath-taking views of the sea and crashing surf. Our views stretch from Goat Island lighthouse to the shorelines of Wells, Ogunquit, and York. Leave our front door to walk, jog, bike along Ocean Avenue to the wonders of Colony Beach, Spouting Rock, Blowing Cave or the seaside estate of President George Bush. Find a niche in the rocks and burrow in with a book. Smell the sea, feel the breeze, relax, contemplate, renew and find new inspirations. We are the only oceanfront Inn and Dining room in Kennebunkport and love being so.
After an incredible early morning sunrise over the ocean, enjoy coffee on the front porch before a wonderful breakfast in our oceanfront dining room as you watch the crashing surf and swooping seagulls hovering over the lobster boats checking their traps. In the morning these lobster boats ply their trade in our front “yard”. Here in Kennebunkport lobstering is quite the trade. Throughout the day pleasure schooners and yachts cross the sea in front of us. Off on the far horizon tankers travel their route between Boston and Portland. Pleasure craft of every description, often including “Fidelity” the powerboat of President Bush, “Our first fisherman” fill the waters only steps away from our front porch.

Rockbound, our building on the side, was built in the fifties. Six very spacious rooms with individual balconies facing fully on to the sea. Very big windows, great breezes. Some of the beds were designed by us and crafted here in Kennebunkport by a wonderful furniture and cabinet maker, Craig Wellman. All rooms in Rockbound are equipped with cable television.
Cape Arundel Inn is a small compound with three buildings on a large piece of land sitting high on a knoll above crashing surf. The views will take your breath away whether relaxing in each rooms sitting area or in bed or on the grand columned porch.
All rooms at Cape Arundel Inn are equipped with telephones with data ports. All rooms are individually decorated in an eclectic manner but one that maintains the traditions of the property. Several of our rooms have fireplaces. Poland Springs bottled water in all rooms and our bed linens are hand pressed and crisply finished.
