Birders Vista Bed and Breakfast is located 80 miles south of Tucson, between the San Pedro River riparian area and Ramsey Canyon Nature Preserve, central to internationally recognized key birding areas. We are only ten minutes away from each of these locations. In season, you will find fresh flowers in your room and enjoy fresh fruit from the fruit orchard on the north side of the house. We are expecting apricots by May. Enjoy the breeze whispering in the stand of pines nestled close on the south side.
Sit on the veranda or under the pergola in the backyard garden and enjoy the birds watching you as they come to feed. Many birds are visiting our feeders this spring: Scott's and Hooded Orioles, Gila and Ladder-backed Woodpeckers, Black-throated and Lark Sparrows, Curved Bill Thrashers, Black-throated Sparrows, Green-tailed and Canyon Towhees, Pyrrhuloxias, Cactus Wrens, Inca Doves, Scaled and Gambel's Quails, Verdin, Black-chinned, Anna's, and Rufus Hummingbirds, Roadrunners, and many more birds. March 2006, two Great Horned Owls have mated and laid eggs in an abandoned raven's nest in our pine trees. You can stand in the front yard and watch the owls! They start hooting in the morning and an at dusk. The Great Horned Owls are now proud parents of three owlets seen on May 19th, 2006!
Enjoy the newest addition to our bed and breakfast - paintings and sculpture from the Huachuca Art Association by well known area artists. The paulownia and mimosa trees in front provide nice shade in the summer for the front veranda with great views from the bench looking toward the Huachuca mountains in the west.

It is a stucco home on 4 acres, with reading library of 1500 books, cozy living room with fireplace, stereo, TV, VCR and DVD for guests. We have several room options - two new rooms with private baths and entrances, two bedrooms with a shared bath or a new suite with two bedrooms, a sitting area and private bath.
All rooms include full breakfast in the dining room overlooking the front courtyard or sit on the back veranda and watch the "morning traffic jam" at our bird feeders. For anyone with special dietary requirements, arrangements can be made to accommodate your needs. A vegetarian menu is also available upon request.
