The Banyan is a lush, tranquil Caribbean estate tucked away in the heart of historic Old Town Key West. Your first step into The Banyan is like entering another world, one full of fragrance and color, beauty and luxury. Both modern and timeless, no place in Key West, or anywhere else, is like it.
Located on Whitehead Street, The Banyan is surrounded by all the history and charm for which Key West is known. Duval Street, famous for it's restaurants, pubs and shops, is only a short walk away, as is Mallory Square, the home of Key West's famous sunset celebration.
The Banyan's eight Victorian houses, five of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, are secluded beneath the canopies of the two magnificent centuries-old banyan trees for which the resort is named. Many of the 38 contemporary suites have
French doors that open onto either a private patio or veranda overlooking the Banyan's gardens.

Entering the Banyan Gardens is like wandering into an enchanted rain forest. Hidden behind the historic structures are lush gardens featuring over 200 varieties of flowering plants with incredible aromas and colors, fruit trees, climbing vines, fish ponds and waterfalls. The two pools, picnic areas and Jacuzzi are all blended into the natural landscape with towering palm trees offering shade. There are more than ten different kinds of palm trees in the Banyan gardens, along with dozens of other rare subtropical plants. Of course, the Banyan Trees dominate our gardens! Banyan Vacation Rentals has two of the largest Banyan trees in North America.
