Linger over breakfast in the dining room at a table for two. Just 1 block from the beach, passes and sand chairs enhance a fun day on the beach. Ask about special events and theme weekends.

The Captain Stannard House has charmed and welcomed local residents and out-of-town guests for over 150 years as Holly's Barn Dance Hall, the St. Charles Inn, Kingsley Hall, an antique store, the Menunketesuck Inn, private residences, and currently as the Captain Stannard House. Found just off Boston Post Road, one block from the Long Island Sound beaches, the Captain Stannard House is the perfect location for your private getaway. Our spacious common areas, lovely gardens, peaceful dining room, and charming guest rooms were designed to give you the relaxing, rejuvenating vacation you deserve.

Our charming, guestrooms are furnished with stylish antiques. Each room has a private bath and personal air conditioner. We strive to accomodate all our guests, so in addition to our seven rooms with Queen-sized beds, we offer one bedroom with two Twin beds.

The Captain Stannard House welcomes children twelve and older. Smoking is permitted on the porches and in the gardens.

Cancellation:
Last minute cancellations of room reservations may prevent accomodating others, we therefore require cancellation notice two weeks (14 days) prior to your arrival date for a full refund. If you must cancel less than 14 days in advance, you will incure the complete charge for your reservation. However, we will happily give a refund for any/all nights we are able to re-rent the room.
