The rustically elegant home of Dave Malmquist, Casa Tierra (Earth House), recalls haciendas of old Mexico. The all-adobe home features over fifty arches and includes entryways with vaulted brick ceilings and beautiful interior arches and courtyards with fountains. Each of the sun-baked adobe bricks was left exposed so the natural color and texture can be appreciated. Hand-made ceramic lights are found throughout the inn. The viga and latilla ceilings, brick floors and brightly patterned Talavera tile throughout the home further enhance the feel of Mexico.

Guests can enjoy the large common room with T.V., movies, games and library, or work out in the fully equipped exercise room. There is a separate hot tub area in the desert and guests can watch the sun set, the moon rise and the stars fall with the owner's telescope.

Two beautifully landscaped courtyards with fountains encourage you to relax and reflect. Guests receive a welcoming basket of fruit and snacks, iced tea and chocolates upon arrival. Each guest room has fresh flowers, luxurious linens, robes and phones. All rooms have private patios or decks with Mexican Chimenea fireplaces.

Rates include lodging and our renowned full gourmet vegetarian breakfast served formally in the Main Dining Room.
