Our 15,000-acre ranch, just off Interstate 70, provides a peaceful retreat and country pleasures. Come enjoy our "Home on the Range" for a down-home family experience. Our passive solar home provides spectacular views of the plains. We have five furnished guest rooms filled with family antiques, country charm, and modern conveniences. Awake to the aroma of a hearty country breakfast. Dinner served upon request. The family room is well equipped for entertainment including TV/VCR/DVD, ping-pong, billiards table, piano, exercise weight set, microwave, and refrigerator. We also have a guest computer with wireless Internet, free long distance phone calling in the USA, and a fax machine. Outdoors you can shoot some hoops, laze in the hammock, enjoy the garden, or explore our five miles of creek bottom with abundant wildlife. Children with energetic, attentive parents are welcome. Try spinning wool and at bedtime listen to "Bandit Loot Buried AT Big Sandy Creek", the true story of a train robbery that happened in 1900 on the ranch. Let your imagination run wild with Indian and Cavalry stories as you view the small artifact display and see where historical Lake Station Stage and Railroad stops once stood. For the cowboy experience: bring your horse and ride the range, help on cattle drives or join us at the corrals during branding season. Hunts on the ranch for deer, antelope, turkey, and coyote are booked through Natural Adventures. Domestic hunts of hogs, yaks, rams, Texas dalls, and Spanish & cashmere goats are booked with QRS Outdoor Specialties.
