The Guest House is quiet and secluded on the rear acreage of the Inn. It has 4 poster beds and Victorian decor. It is connected by a lighted brick pathway to the restaurant which can be described as a Microbrewery with Fine dining. The Restaurant has rough-hewn beams, wall sconces, cozy nooks and a huge wood-burning fireplace. Built in 1732, it has operated continuously as an inn. It was reopened in 1997 after 1 year of careful restoration work. Copies of rare prints of the original inhabitants, the Lenni-Lenape Indians, hang on the walls. The dining room opens into a beautiful cobblestone patio. The food is inspired by Southern and Native American recipes. Generous portions; wholesome and delicious. The owners beleive that natural is best. All of the water used in the beer making and the restaurant is charcoal filtered. All ingredients are fresh; from the hops and grains for the beer; to the vegetables and other ingredients in the entrees. The barroom has at least seven brewed-on-site beers always on tap as well as Fine Wines and Single Malt Scotches. The Inn has six working fireplaces and many rooms; each being a special experience. The rooms may be reserved for private parties. Guests have free 24 hour access to the guest house kitchen which is stocked with all the ingredients for a continental style breakfast. On Sunday, in the restaurant, there is an optional Buffet Brunch for $14.95 from 10am til 3pm. Lunch is available for $7 to $12, dinner is available for $15 to $26.

Deposit & Cancellation Policy

Individual Room(s)- We require a credit card number to hold room(s). Cancellation notice is required two weeks in advance of your reservation. There will be a charge of 20% of your total stay if you cancel within two weeks of your reservation, however that charge can be applied to a future stay. Any cancellation made less than 24 hours in advance will result in a charge of 100% of your total stay and cannot be applied to a future stay.

Whole House - We require a credit card number and 50% deposit to hold the reservation. Cancellation notice is required one month in advance of your reservation. Deposit will be lost if you cancel within one month; however, 20% of that can be applied to a future stay. Any cancellation made less than 24 hours of your stay will result in a 100% charge of your total stay and cannot be applied to any future reservation. An additional damage deposit of $300 is due at check-in and will be refunded accordingly upon house inspection after your departure.

Note: This policy also applies to reservations made less than two weeks of the date of stay for individual room(s) or less than one month of the date of stay for the whole house.
