Casa Estrella de la Valenciana (www.MexicanInns.com) is a hillside Mexican bed and breakfast inn that overlooks the Valenciana mine. Every one of our unique bedrooms has a view of the city and its surrounding mountains. Nestled in the heart of the Central Mexican Highlands - Mexico's "Cradle of Independence," our location is perfect to enjoy the romantic city of Guanajuato, with its underground tunnels and beautiful plazas, as well as day trips to the nearby cities of San Miguel de Allende and Dolores Hidalgo. Our guests relax at the end of their day poolside, under an umbrella at the jacuzzi, or on one of our many terraces. In the morning, you'll enjoy a full breakfast on our dining terrace or in our beautiful dining room. Guanajuato is a UNESCO World Heritage site considered by many to be the most beautiful city in the Americas.

Our hillside luxury inn has 3 stories and six bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own private bath. We are within easy walking distance of the Valenciana Church and the Casa del Conde, a gourmet restaurant and shop. A short cab ride to the city center. The distinctive decor of Casa Estrella includes many fine examples of some of the finest in Mexican art. Unique works by Gorky Gonzalez and Capelo, and hand-painted tiles by Azulejos Decorativos Carillo of Dolores Hidalgo. Beautiful hand-tooled lamps by Casa del Conde and the Museo de Gene Byron of Marfil. Hand woven bedspreads and curtains by Ricardo Lazo of Mexico City, as well as hand carved furniture from Michoacan and Tlaquepaque. Let us make you comfortable as you enjoy the treasures of colonial Mexico.

We also have a new two-bedroom, three bathroom casita, Casa Estrellita, complete with a full kitchen, dining room and living room. Enough room for up to six persons. It's perched on a corner of our property. You'll have full use of our pool and breakfast is included! Please email us for more information. There is a minimum 4-night stay, with daily, weekly or monthly rates.

Our rooms each have hair dryers, am/fm/cd player clock radios, TV with dvd/vhs player, bathrobes, and luxury linens. Sirena has its own private steam room and Valenciana has its own private hot tub with wet bar and fireplace.

Reservations must be secured with a credit card or a check for 50% of the expected billing within 30 days of arrival date. We gladly accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express & Discover Card. Payment in full is to be received 2 weeks prior to arrival or, for arrival dates within 14 days, on the date the reservation is confirmed. Payment required 30 days in advance during high season, especially during the Festival Cervantino. Once a reservation has been confirmed and your payment processed, all cancellations are subject to a 20% cancellation fee to cover our credit card processing costs. Cancellations during our high season may not be refundable. Payments for Casa Estrellita (our guesthouse) must be made in full 30 days prior to your arrival and are not refundable. We highly recommend travel insurance.
